ramble on
Haven't written in quite some time...long time. I guess I should make a list of things I did...

made a halloween costume...
work a lot.
instructed a co-worker to build a 3d sketchup model. Have to instruct her about topography and retaining wall...she's got a damn master...she should know this stuff...but she's got it from academy of art...so that's about right.
got a stack of books which I will read...want to read.
need to learn autocad architecture...I got a book...I just need to make time.
got myself an ipod nano so I can watch my shows when I'm on Bart...
I'm sure I got more...but I don't want to ramble on too long...

have to
Working has been pretty up and down. I gotta get drawings done during the week and I will also have another possible deadline middle of this coming week. I gotta get 4 sections done. Using cadd and doing drawings is easy as long as I got some dimensions and guidelines. Thus far, I have very little of those information. In that case, I am doing quite a bit of guess and checking and that does take longer than usual. With that said...doing 4 sections can be a bitch because sections contain the most information about the building. I also have to coordinate them with the elevations...I also approach the elevations with the guess and check method. Seriously...I want to give them what I got...and they are giving what I want...I just need time and dimensions.

hand drawings
it has been quite some time since I last blgged. the main reason could be my new job at a design-build firm. I work under an architect doing a renovation of a residence in Orinda. He does mostly hand drawings and it's my duty to digitize it in to autocad. We're developing a set of drawing for a design review. It's very tough thing to juggle when I'm new to this project and I have to do drawings off of hand drawings with little or no dimensions to follow. that's why I haven't been blogging that much...
