Back From Davis
Came back last nite after spending 2 days in Davis, California at a friend's place. I never spend time in davis and I can't imagine going to school there and living there. Not because it is a bad school or the environment is bad...it's the fact that my lifestyle is completely different then the life stye of a davisee. The place seems very while open and somewhat rural. When I compare that to san luis obispo...what's the differences...I think it's the weather. SLO is comfortable all year long and I can do anything anytime. But Davis is just too hot sometimes to do anything.

Well, that's really what I have to say so far. I'm gonna be heading down to SLO this coming week to move in to my new apartment as well as talking to my advisor about the classes I need to take in order to graduate.

big shincup....found it in my pile of email while looking for email address
Back in Fremont [Home that is]
After being dropped off by frankie at the airport...i flew back home from DC enroute through phoenix...and i'll be heading up to davis to visit a friend. next week, i'll be heading down to san luis to move in stuff to my apartment and meet with an advisor.

one good thing about being at home...its not hot nor humid...but i did miss dc...i miss the carless life. now, anywhere i go, i need to drive...its just annoying

So, now, i'm just doing homework on what kinda GEs I need to take to be able to graduate...and figure out how much units i have...and i think i have too much architecture units...need to talk to my advisor about it

Final Day
It didn't hit me until just a moment ago that I will in fact leave this place, this house and never would I return to this place to see the regular faces that I've grown accustomed to. This past year have been more than a wonderful time, to me, it is a moment that quickly flashes by. It is a moment that is filled with mixed emotions, good times, bad times, time of learning, and time of losing brain cells. But you know what, ten years from now, I would look back to this moment and I can tell myself how happy I was and how much wonderful people that I still treasure.

Walking around this house, looking at the luggage, it reminded me about moving out to college and realized that my life is nothing much couple of boxes. But looking at this empty house, this empty room, it is fill with memories. Memories that I can't take away with me. Memories that I that I will always remember...Mostly at a random and inappropriate time...But I do remember.

The people that I grown to love...The people that I will forever hold dearly in my heart, I will miss them sincerely. These people were part of my life for a year and I realize I took people around me for granted and I only appreciate their presence when they are no longer next to me. How I wish [your name here] was next to me. We can talk about our good times together or just enjoy each other's company without saying a word.

I need to just carry on. I did all I can't and I can't slow down time. I might have regrets about things I didn't do during the year...But I have no regrets for my final days here. I did everything I wanted to do and see the people that I want to see. And I enjoy my final days here.

More when I'm back in California.

daily summary
woke up at 9 this morning and started to clean out the place. I also vacuumed the house and wrote down some instructions to my housemate when i leave. I also forwarded shinji and chris's mail that's been accumulated last month.

around two-ish, i got a call from frankie and she said we should go to dinner at chadwick's around 7. So I took a little nap cause i was just exhausted from cleaning the house.

So it's 7 and i started walking down to the restaurant and i got there early and i had a beer at the bar while watching the baseball game. Frankie and Danielle came and we sat down. We had burgers and beers and we talked and we had a great time.

It's time to leave and I gave frankie a tin of altoids and she enjoyed it...both as mint and joke...and they wanted me to go watch "the wedding crashers" with them tomorrow...and frankie offer to drop me off at the airport...so i might take that offer....I might have to take that offer...

after that, i went to school to meet up with adam and matt and we watched some simpsons on dvd...quoting from the show: "ice to meet you" McBain said as he bust out from an ice scupture. And "Why must you turn my office in to a house of lies," said dentist to ralph as he lie about brushing his teeth 3 times a day.

Then we head to school to play my final game of wiffleball home run derby...

Gone Fishing
The day of gone fishing is over and you can view the pictures below...yesterday, we caught 2 small fishes and one large catfish...but today, we caught 9 small fishes. The action was intense, but it's no there's no excitement as oppose to catching a large fish to pose next to.
In search of a fishing hole
Today, I suddenly have the urge to fish...since I dont have a gear here to fish, I decided to go get some gear and head out there with my buddy and fish.

Supplies...cheaply acquired at walmart

fishing hole...first hole, not so good...too much seaweed

second spot much better...resulting in 2 small fishes...and one big catfish

round 2 tomorow

will have some pictures hopefully

As of Now
As of now, i just posted lyric to the song [house in virginia] but what's really going on is a loud thunderstorm[w/lightning] outside. I have never been in a place with weather this crazy. I'll miss it when I'm gone I guess. I'll always miss stuffs when it's gone.
House In Virginia by Brendan Benson
House in Virginia
We'd love to see you, Emma
Red velvet chairs for you to sit on, Emma
Blue cobalt teacups every shape, every size
Your favorite designs
White flawed enamel pots
And a place on the shelf for everything you've got

When are you coming to stay?
Say that you'll never go away

Porch swings and everything
Your favorite pets, they're everywhere
Willow trees and a cool breeze
Lemonade, freshly squeezed
Sun-thickened linseed oil
Is studio equipped for brooding
Alcohol and turpentine somehow you find it soothing

(chorus)

She stands at the full length
Admiring herself in her grandmother's hat
She says, when she gets her strength
She's flying away and she's never coming back
I am done. I am done. I am done. I'm undone

I once again, learn to fall in love with this song once again. I got this album maybe 5 years ago when it was out of high school and listen to it on my way to community college. And I never imagine I would be living in a house in virginia. I found this song to describe the perfect place that everyone wants to run away from. It talks about a place that sounds perfect but it's not. No matter how great a place seems, it will never be perfect.

The Process of Moving Out
The slow dreaded process of moving out have finally begin for me. I already made a checklist of stuffs that needs to be done before i leave this coming wednesday. I'm optismistic about getting everything I need to do before I leave but there are couple of big items I need to get rid of before I leave. Maybe I should put them up on Craigslist. That's one of the main inconvient about not having a pickup truck is the inability to move big things.

So here's the partial list of what needs to be done before I leave:

write checks for bill [done]
write check for rent [done]
leave direction to the landlord's house [check]
leave instruction for my housemate when i'm gone []
throw/give away beds + tables+ chairs []
clean the bedroom, living room, and laundry room []
print flight ticket []
pack clothes []

It's not a long list...but getting rid of stuffs is harder than you imagine.

Washington National's Baseball and a Girl
Wednesdays are college night [5 dollar per head] at the Washington National's home game, so me and couple of friend's decided to go...just for the hell of it...cause i want to say i've been to a national's game before i head back to cali. It also happens to be the birthday of a friend [siebers]...so there are more people that came.

So as environmentally minded people that we claimed we are, we decided to take the metro out to the stadium. The ride over there was indeed an adventure in itself. There are so many people there...it's insane. People are in the cars packed like sardines...and I was one of those people...I somehow held my dignity by not getting squashed by the window like the garfield with the suction cups in the hands.

So after we survived the metro ride there, we waited in line for the tickets....in the blazing sun and the humid air...it sucks...finally we got the tickets and headed in...and we hiked 3 floors to our [cheap seats] and we faced directly at the sun...so we decided to move to where the sun dont shine...or shines less. After that, we settled in for a wonderful game...minus the annoying drunk high school kids across the aisle from us. btw, he almost got his ass kicked by a burly man.

so after the game...we rode the metro back...the same way we rode there...like sardines...but we return safely back...so we decided to head to [bistro] since it's sieber's birthday and guess who i bump in to? none other than [frankie]. Since I asked her if she want to do something on [thefacebook] she agree to go to lunch with me either friday or early next week [since i'm leaving next wednesday]. That's gonna be really great. can't wait

oh, i guess i can talk about my project research dump...it's just a place for me to dump ideas, images, links, sketches, so i can keep track of my design process...

here's a cool [article] on house printing as well...house printing...not painting...it's like a printer that print out concrete...

this is another cool [shipping container project]

there links were found at the blog of a young firm call [vestal design]

[beauty and the geek]

"beauty and the geek" might be one of the funniest reality show to come out in a while...well, i dont really remember any of them being funny...i tends to like original shows...not knockoffs...i was supporter of the first 3 seasons of survivor until the show start sucking...i am still a supporter of the amazing race because the concept of the show haven't changed much...travel around the world ...so it's all cool...and i dont remember any other ones that i enjoy watching...but beauty and the geek is just a so funny...the interactions between the beauties [pretty but academically challenged females] and the geeks [smart but socially challenged males] are facinating. sadly, the team [mindi + richard] i root for didn't win the game...but oh well, can win them all...at lease it was entertaining. [ps for a show created by ashton kutcher...it's not that bad...kudos]

listening to [warning sign] by [coldplay] for no particular reason, it just came out randomly...note to self, i gotta install ipod shuffle on this computer...this song some how bring out feelings that i have...about missing certain person...seeing warning signs in a relationship...all that kinda good stuffs...and all the emotional baggages that came along with it...[emotional baggage] was a working title of an essay by my favorite neighbor [michelle] which i love and adore.

so what are my thought as of this moment?? i'm thinking about [frankie]...i remember the first time we danced together on the roof top and she's my dancing partner...and she abandoned me to get more wine...it's the first time i was abandoned in place of [alcohol]...i was abandon multiple times by girls for other guys...but never wine...am i working down the chain now?? anywho, we were in the same studio together and we get to know each other a little bit more and i'm glad that we did. and i remember an other time where i had an [altoids] tin with charcoal in there...and she left me a note saying what a tease....so the next day, i bought her a box of her own as a gift...just to be cute...hey frankie...just letting you know...[i miss ya]!!

now playing [a rush of blood to the head] by coldplay
haven't been doing much as of late...

here's some cool programs and sites i've encountered recently.

[frameshots] or formerly called [snatchit] it's a program that allows you captures images off a video and i thought that would be pretty neat...cause i can post funny moments of shows and movies on my blog.

[cutler-anderson] this is an architecture firm in Washington state that i want to work for when i graduate...and they do some great work and they are also in to furniture design

[prangstgrup]
these guys do some funny stuffs....not jackass and not punk'd...it's more in the line of good fun pranks...no body is hurt in anyway...

[newgrounds]
site for all flash stuffs

[scrubs music]
i enjoy the show [scrubs] but i enjoy the selection of music on scrubs a little more...i think they select the right music to set the right moment on the show...and i think that's very important in the success of a good tv show...another good example if the first 2 seasons of [smallville] but since then...their music selection sucks...and the show isn't as good as it used to be

one of the funniest shows out there that i've been watching is [beauty and the geek] it's wonderfully delightful watch people from different worlds trying to learn from each other and try to change themselves and to improve...the show just wraped up last wednesday...but a reunion show is coming up next week...so i'll be watching that...i was kinda disappointed that richard and mindi didn't win...because i think they changed...and they improved the most...and richard is just hillarious...and mindi is smart and beautiful(on the outside and in) but oh well...i'll put up some screen caps of some of the hillarious moments through out the season soon
