not so much happening I think. Just work and play. That's pretty much it. I guess I should elaborate more on what I work on and play with. Working on couple of projects. One is under construction. And since we're design build firm...it's a lot of last minute change order we have to draw up and send out to field...I also am working on 2 other projects that just passed or will pass the design review state. The next stage is to get some working drawings to get a building license. After that is done...then it's going to be a lot of specifying and details drawing and changing...enough with what pays my bills...
As for play...I watch tv, sports, video games and I also read...tv shows I watch now are The Office, Daily Show, Letterman, Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mythbusters, Kings of Queens, Futurama. I also watches video podcasts. I watch diggnation, Tekzilla, Happy Slip, and Pixel Perfect. These are just some fun and interesting stuffs I get my mind in to. It's just a way to be entertaine and educate myself. I was always like that as a kid. Watch Bill Nye back in the days was awesome.
As for sports, I'm a Giants fan. I also like the Warriors and Suns for Basketball. I watch UFC here and there. Like football but isn't a big fan of the niners because of their morbid playcalling and wasted talents.
Videogames...got the wii and wish I am more religious in playing smash brothers and mario galaxy. It's good to say I'm not addicted or have OCD.
As for reading...I grabbed two wonderful books last week. The God Delusion is what I'm reading. I read it on BART after I'm done with watching the TV shows on my nano. It's a wonderful, thought provoking book. I have been an atheist since ever. I don't really believe in God or supernaturality. That doesn't really help me think. The only thing I would be doing in a religion is the continuation of me asking why. Why am I in a religion. Why are we doing this. What good does it do? Other than just asking whys...I will look for the answers. The answers I found are usually very logical and it's contrary to what the religion is preaching. It makes me feel dirty...I can go on for pages talking about this...if you want to know, just grab The God Delusion and welcome to my world or revisit yours.
The other book I got is a wonderful reference book. I haven't really crack it open. It Worldchanging: A User's Guide to the 21 Century. It's all about living green and making green decision. It helps you be more conscious about the steps you're taking. As a great reference guide...it even have an architecture or shelter section. That helps me...because I care. Because it's what I do...
As you can see...with the books I get...what I play is intertwined with what I do. It's a kind of world I like...but I can't really say I'm in that world yet. I don't have the opportunities to design and build what I truly believe in. I just don't have enough experience or mileage in my tank. That comes time. The place I'm working at is fine. But the growth opportunity isn't what I expect. That's why I think if I got fired or I resigned, I will go back to grad school to get a master. I will then move on to a better opportunity. However, I want to avoid rotting my architecture design skill. I will be working on a book. It's going to be a journey. It'll be a "Long Road to Ruin." That's it for this length saga.
