depressively
This is one of my favorite song. It's by the Blur but don't expect it to be like Song 2 where it's really crazy and fun. This is about that depressively depressing feeling you get when you love someone that doesn't like you. I guess this is an on going series of me posting lyrics and want you guys to check it out.

No Distance Left to Run - Blur

It's over
You don't need to tell me
I hope you're with someone who makes
you feel safe in your sleep
being tonight
I won't kill myself trying to stay in your life
I got no distance left to run

When you see me
Please turn your back and walk away
I don't want to see you cause i know the
dreams that you keep
That's where we meet
When your coming down, think of me
I got no distance left to run

It's over
I knew it would end this way
I hope you're with someone who makes you feel that this life
is a life
One that settles down
Stays around
Spends more time with you
I got no distance left to run

I'm coming home
so cold
Home
play popular
Gees...I feel that this world is full of passionately, unfriendly, unfashionable and hateable people. I am not talking about people I know. I am talking about the bunch of Nintendo DS players who go online to play with other DS player. I got a game that allows me to play popular card or board games with people. I am not great at it but once in a while I am willing. The game keep a record for you and I don't have a great record because other players chickened out and turn off their DS before I get to win. That pretty much ruin my record. It's not fair and that chickened out shouldn't be in the rule book. I got a tetris game that let me play online with others and they said that if you quit during a match...you will lose and the other person will win. I think that's fair and reasonable because if you internet sucks...you won't be playing in the first place. I think this game company need to adjust and fix these rule issue because it's not fair to those who cares. If a gamer cares...so should the game makers. It's how I am as an architectural designer...I design for you because I care...I don't design just to make money...I design to give you happiness. I don't want the people I designed for get worry or unhappy because those are my task and I should worry and be unhappy if you want me to do something for you.

box-free
Tomorrow is going to be that day I dread and like.

Dread in the way that I have to see that therapist I deeply hate. She is an oxymoron. I understand that I hurt my head and I was in the hospital bed and all that but she isn't really doing her job. I feel and I know that I am healing correctly and I do think I have some side effects from the accident. She just loosely and basically pinpointed one. She said I have trouble with my memory. I can see that. I now understand that my memory is a little foggy and I am trying my best to give my memory a good workout. She also gave me some lame, mindless exercise for me to do. I feel that I have exceed what she want but she doesn't let me finish these weekly therapy. I want to stop all these helpless therapy and get on with my life. I do however cherish these help but I don't want to be kept in a box because I am liked. If you like something, let it go and let it be. I just want to be what I am now and I will never find out if I am in a box.

Like in the way that I like. I will spend another of those fun friday with my bro. I will dine and chill with him and that's gonna be great. Hanging with him brings me back to the places I used to go and the person I used to be. It's a great reminder of things I like and the thing I am. I can't wait until I can be that person I used to and always will be. I want to thank my family, my friends, and some of the medical staff of bringing me back from that accident. I am not 100% yet and I hope I will be there shortly. I can't wait until I am healthy and be able to do everything and be everything I am. I want to be box-free.

We stood in your room and laughed out loud.
Chesterfield King by Jawbreaker

We stood in your room and laughed out loud.
Suddenly the laughter died and we were caught in an eye to eye.
We sat on the floor and did we sit close.
I could smell your thoughts and thought.
Do you want to touch a lot like me?
Too scared to say a thing.

I left your house and kicked myself.

I put those feelings on a shelf to die.
I guess I'm not a gambling type but think of what the two of us had lost.

I needed some time to think it out.
7-Eleven parking lot.
A toothless woman turned and stopped.
I gave her a dime and a Chesterfield.
She leaned down and kissed my cheek.
I was scared but it felt sweet.
Felt so sweet.

She asked me if I had a name.
I told her I was glued up on some chick.
We sat and smoked against the wall.
Drank a beer, felt the chill of fall.

I took my car and drove it down the hill by your house.
I drove so fast.
The wind it couldn't cool me down, so I turned it around and came back up.
You were waiting on your step, steam showing off your breath and
water in your eyes.
We pulled each other into one, parkas clinging on the lawn and kissed
right there.

Said all my chicks they smoke these things and handed you a
Chesterfield King.
Held your hand and watched tv and traced the little lines along your palm.

This is one of my all time favorite song. I listened to it so many times and I also learned how to play it on my guitar. What make this song so great are the guitar sound and the lyrics. Sorry to post more lyrics up but I want to share and express my thoughts on this song. It's about a guy who got a difficult situation on a girl he like. He can smell her thoughts but he is too timid to make "the move." So he left her house went to a 7-11 and he saw a toothless woman and he talked to her and gave her some smokes and money. She then kissed him. I guess that is the moment he learn and realize his love for that girl from that situation. He decided to take his car and drive to cool himself down. He is so hot that the wind couldn't cool him down. He decided to go back to the girl and he saw her waiting for him on the step. He got out and they kissed. It is a great song and a brilliant story. It brings back a lot of my past relationship with girls I like and my timidity...

I know
It is somewhat of a business day. A lot of thing need to and should be work on. Firstly, I got a call from my uncle who want to do a patio in his yard and he asked me if he should get an building permit. I seriously need to search online because I know very little about building permit because my old work place don't really train me with the permit stuffs and all the other important stuffs because the boss is a anally bicurious retardically pre-stone age maximally minimum wage and action effortless foot fungus fetish fucker. [wow...good job mike with that wonderful cuss-out...made me really proud]

So..secondly...a good friend of mine is interviewing for a position at a different department at the company he is working in. He is a good and hard working guy. He is currently doing marketing for this company but his degree is more toward engineer. His supervisor think he is not progressing quick enough and want to transfer him to another department. He will be interview at an engineering department today. I am sure he can get accepted and he will progress very well in that department and will eventually move up the ladder because of his experience in both marketing and engineer. Knowledge+connections+talent=progress. Sometimes you have to throw in a little luck in the equal sign...but luck is just timing....we can't really control timing.

That;s pretty much it...and I can't believe this is my 950 entry. Most of the entries are just pretty pictures or it's just a copy paste post. [haha...C-P-P...kinda gross...but I'm sure that's another of my old boss's fetish.] Anywho...me out, later.

last 5
Last several days have been great. Several meant the last 5 games the Giants played as well as the Warriors played. The Giants played well and got their overall record back above .500. I am really happy and I believe that they will be able to keep their record above .500 all season long. I am having fun and I am sure they are too. Secondly, the Warriors got in to the playoff. It has been a long while since they are a playoff team. I wasn't expecting them to be a playoff team when the season started. I got a intension that the Warriors will not will their first series against the best record team. However, the Warriors getting in to the playoff is interesting. It set a great tone for them to improve the team. It is a great achievement for them and I hope they will achieve some more great goals in the years to come.

over complicate it
Happy Friday. I guess I'll do another of summary of the week. There isn't that much that I did or should do.

I just edited some videos of my nephew and hoping to get everything the way I want it. It's a simple procedure and I don't want to over complicate it too much because it's something for the family. It's not one of those architecture related things where I expect and hope they will catch my drift. I just did something fun and cool and not too crazy and hoping and wanting them to catch the drift. In a way...I am handing them the drift.

I got my arm cast off...need no further exploitation there.

I feel bad and sorry for those at Virginia Tech. I am sorry. Thank you for that one year I had because of you guys.

I also had a similar accident when I was in high school. A person I knew killed his mom and still went to school and live a normal life until he got caught after 2 days. I talked to him the day after he killed his mom. I'll do a post on this and a link I found later.

That's pretty much it for this post. I'll keep on rolling.

great things happened
A lot of great things happened yesterday. I feel kinda bad that I didn't include this blog as one of the great thing that happened.

To start things off nicely...I got my arm cast off. It feels refreshing to have that "Iron Sword" removed. I still wear a brace on my arm to give it some protection but I can take it off when I shower or when I feel like my arm need to breath a little. Having that cast removed allows my hand to move a little more. My hand is still a little stiff because I was unable to move for 4 months. I think it will take some time for my arm to get some flexibility.

It's also a great day for me in sports. All my local teams did well. Warriors won and will be in the playoff. They haven't been to the playoff since I was in junior high school. The Giants won yesterday and I hope they can keep on winning and improve on the relief pitching. I love their starting rotation and I hope the bullpen doesn't spoil their great pitching. The A's won as well. Not a big A's fan but I do like them. My friend is a big A's fan. We got the I'm a big Giants Fan and he's a big A's fan friendship. The Sharks are in the playoff...I am not a fan of hockey. It's good to know my local teams are doing well. I just have to see what the 49ers and Raiders will do. I am a 49ers fan by the way.

I started watching the movie An Inconvenient Truth. It is a documentary about global warming with Al Gore. It is a great movie. The movie presented many fact about the reasons, the hazard, the damage of global warming. It made simple sense to belief in global warming and we need to do something to reduce the damage. I respect Al Gore and I think he truly believe we need to stop doing things to stop global warming. I wish the world well and I will think of the world when I design things on it. I want to build things love the land where it stands on.

daily routine
I was doing my daily routine of checking my websites and I found this one in Yahoo about 10 best and 10 worst occupation in America. I just copy and paste a small portion of it and it's about 10 best job on the happy scale according to a survey. Architect is in the top ten. I don't think they asked the people that worked in my old place cause it's gonna greatly effect the percentage and drop architecture out of top 10 and in to the low 10s. Here is the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+P

People who scored high on the happiness scale had the following jobs:

  • Clergy
  • Firefighters
  • Transportation ticket and reservation agents
  • Housekeepers and butlers
  • Hardware/building supplies salespersons
  • Architects
  • Mechanics and repairers
  • Special education teachers
  • Actors and directors
  • Science technicians

Most of the stuffs
I am finally posting something I wrote. I think I've been a little lethargic but there I guess I have some excuses on the side. I guess I am posting this to review what I've been doing for the last week. Most of the stuffs I posted last week were all about the multiple random stuffs I do over the week. Other than those random stuffs...I will do a little long list of the stuffs I did and will planning to do.

  1. I help babysit my 1 year old nephew Mattrew. He is a cute and smart little kid. I hope I can teach him how to draw and I'm sure he can and he will draw better than me in the future. I will teach him how to do drafting to start him off right. I also got a new firewire cable and I transported a lot of video my family took of him in to my computer and I think I might be a little creative and edit a great video starting Mattrew
  2. Next. I hung out with my bro Harsh quiet a bit. We played pool, we computer shopped...and I picked up a new DS game. I am going back old school with the game...it's Tetris.
  3. I also spent more time checking my RSS feeds. I got some information of a furniture competition by a website and one of the judge is Norman Foster so I am thinking about designing a good looking furniture. The theme is minimum. I love that theme but I don't want people to design something really minimal without thinking about the detail because minimal is all expressed in the detail. If you don't design the detail in something minimal, I think that's just weak. So it's gonna be hard for me cause I want to have a workshop I design in.
  4. I am still going on with my autocad tutorial. I think I am going good with it. I think I will going to export some sketches am draft it out in autocad and export the dwg to formz to build a cool model. I think that can help me add cool to my portfolio.
  5. Since I am talking about portfolio...lemme talk about my job. I checked my craigslist feed and they are again looking for more people. In 3 months I was there...20 percent of the people are gone. They have no staff training and assistance on office standards. I was a newbie and I got no introduction to how to office work. Should I tell them that I need training? It doesn't really help me because I don't want to say I am dumb.
  6. I should do some new photoshop funnies
  7. I have to call up my bone doctor cause I need to get my cast remove. It's already been two weeks and he have to keep his promise of taking off this thing. I want to free up my hand for computer related and pen related things.
  8. I also started playing my guitar. I do play it with my cast on but hey, I played pool with my cast on.
That's a fraction on my week. There's more but most of them is not very urgently important. Bye.

minimal and functional
On my daily web surfing, I got interested in a furniture competition held by an architecture related site I often check out. I am interested and they didn't say the furniture piece have to be designed and built. It's not that I wouldn't do it. It's the fact that I don't have access to a great workshop. If that is the case, I am just going to enter couple of my past designed and built pieces. Since that is not the case, I guess I'm just going to design a new one from scratch with Autocad, Form, and photoshop [not my usualy process of design and build]. I can enter 3 max so I think I'm just going to do a chair, a table, and a lounge. It will be a fun design process I can go through.

They also have a theme that I have to put in to consideration. They want furniture that are minimal. I have no problem with that because I love that idea. I believe that furniture or architecture should be minimal and functional. That way, it allows the materials and the methods of construction to be expressive. It makes the furniture or architecture more beautiful because it tell the tale of how they come to be in their details. It doesn't leave questions in my mind about the making of things and I find that honestly beautiful. Oh, one of the judge in the competition is Norman Foster. I got his book from being the studio best in Marco Frascari's studio. Marco Frascari wrote The Tell the Tale Detail...it's a sign.

end of the country the end of the century, ending of everything the ending is everything
This is my first favorite Jets to Brazil song. I got their second CD when it was new. I then got their first and third cd. I also got the lead singer's first band call Jawbreaker. I love this band and Jawbreaker because they use great grungy music and rhythm with very meaningful and deep lyrics. I hope you guys can find this song...if not...just give me an email and I'll send it over. Enjoy.

"Mid-day Anonymous" by Jets to Brazil

what will you do to turn this around
so many behind you so many before you
ticket in one hand gun in the other
what will you do which hand will you use?

came on the run and you will leave running
there's always someone to keep you from thinking
loving her desperately knowing you're leaving
what will you do now with no one to go to?

there are so many places to see
there are so many people to be
this country was promised to me from the start

the kids. the park. the crosshairs find their mark.
i think i'm the sum of what's before and what's to come
a saint with a scope and a holster full of hope
it depends it depends some stories never end
but mine unwinds in seconds

what will you do to save your own life
drink yourself brilliant, make love to your image
dad's on the left side, mom's on the right
what will you do now to keep them divided?

eyes out the window the folly of humans
mid-day anonymous when guns find their purpose
end of the country the end of the century
ending of everything the ending is everything

there are so many people in me
there are so many women to meet
remember me to all the ones i have lost
the glock is cocked. the sheep begin to drop
i think i'm the son of what's before and what's to come

a saint with a scope and a pocketful of dope
seven stars! seven stars! the kingdom is ours
the stairs the light the street the blue and whites
deep in the flat with the technicolor cat
and hey my varicose guilt!

Here is another photoshop rendition I have a little time to do. There is no astronaut this time...but there are a lot of fun details...plus the photographer. Perhaps more to come.

an accurate portrayal of an accurate guy.
Hopefully you enjoyed my explicit outburst of swear words and the words "irrational" and "rational" in the last couple of posts. I am just going to let you know what I am up to currently. I am just here this morning doing nothing. Waiting to go to a doctor's appointment in about 30 more minutes. I got a little time. So here's the skinny...

I was hanging out with a good friend last night. We got food, the Giants game, the A's game, good conversation about the food, Giants, and A's. It's a good night. He is three Junior College math professor at Santa Cruz area so he's on spring break. It's good for him but I know he want to move up to a State or a University to teach. Either way, I think it's admirable. I was just like him 5 years ago...we were from the same high school going in to the junior college hoping to transfer to the college we want. We both did it...he's in Davis and I got in Calpoly. I hope I can follow his footstep to be a professor.

I also got an email reply from a good friend I met in DC. He is back in Ohio with his wife and he just reply back on an email I sent him with my photoshop funnies attached in it. He likes it. He also sent me a link with some funnies he found online. lemme post them...

Those are funny and they are very much like that astronaut guy I photoshopped. It is an accurate portrayal of an accurate guy.

irrational/rational
Have a fairly easy week this week. I am looking forward to an old friend coming back in town during this Easter weekend. We'll be hanging out, dining out, and chilling out like we used to and always do. That is be how I want the remainder of this week to be.

Anywho...I was being a little abusive jerk in my last couple of posts. I guess I will do something a little nicer by sharing this renewed life philosophy of mine with you. This is the line:

It is rational to be irrational because it is irrational to be rational.

I've been thinking a lot about this irrational/rational issue. It is a great debate between the two. I consider myself a highly rational person because I think, contemplate, analyze...etc all the time. Thinking back at my behavior...I think some of the things I think about and act out of rationality are highly irrational. I also think about some of the irrational things I did and they are very rational.

For example...I like this girl back in early college days. It was her birthday and I invited her over to my apartment and then to my room. I handed her a great gift I got her and made her. She loved it and we hugged...and out of my irrationality, I kissed her and we made out. If I wasn't being irrational...the result wouldn't be rational. If I was acting rational during that hug, I would be thinking about the consequences if we kissed. In the moment, being rational might be irrational. The great thing about this is...I was acting very rational to lead myself to be irrational. I think that is a safer way than acting irrational all the time.

I hope you guys enjoy this little story of mine and I high hope that you guys take this irrational/rational idea to heart. Think about the rational and irrational thoughts and actions in your life and how they influenced and changed the way you are today. I am not saying irrationality is always good and rationality is bad. I am saying we should have a good balance of out rational self and irrational self.

I was being very rational throughout my life and I made many people around me sad. I think being rational can be highly selfish and egotistic. I want to apologize to anyone out there that shed a tear due to my rationality. I will try to do something irrational to bring a smile to your face.

All this work
I am sick of this pushing me around shit. I get that pushing around shit in a physical way in elementary school but being pushed around mentally on the phone...that's some FUP bullshit. This pushing around shit is started by my bone doctor who said he will order a bone stimulator for me with out explaining to me cost of the thing or if my insurance would cover it. He order it and 3 months later, the bone stimulator people want me to pay a lot of money for it. So I started talking to my doctor and he pushed me to the front office, then they pushed me to the bone stimulator phone number, then they pushed me to the salesman, then he pushed me back to the bone stimulator phone number. All this work resulting to nothing. I don't get to talk to anyone. How can I trust the device they "sold" me is working. Why are they allow to make money off of me. This company is Orthofix....I rather call them orthofucks.

Sorry for the compulsive cussing...It feels good and soothing to release the tension in me...maybe my next post would be very soothing...we'll see.

FUP
Its a FUP day. FUP stands for fucked up. What is so FUP about today? Several things...

...but I guess I should start this entry off in a nice warm way. Since I've been doing all those astronautic photoshopping and sending it to my friends including the one I made fun of. He sent me back a brief and non verbally abusive email. He just sent me a link with some of his pictures he took while he is working in Japan. It's a nice gift and it's nice that he isn't pissed and think my photoshopping is FUP.

...Now the FUP part. I was hoping to get my arm cast off so I can start doing a lot of tutorial on autocad, formz, and many other computer programs. I got the urge to refresh and talent myself in all these programs. I feel that I am talented in all those non-computer aided tasks..I just need to use my work ethics on things related to the CPU, RAM, MOBO...etc...So I went to Hospital and got my X-ray taken and went to see my doctor and he thinks I am healing very nicely and my cast can come off. Great...but he have to order a arm brace for me for protection and I have to go back there in less then 2 weeks to get that cast and brace taken care of. Other than that....He discovered that I still got a stitch that was not taken off fully off my arm. I remember the first time they pull those out...it's FUPly painful...that's the first FUP.

Shinji on the Foil Moon

I like to do dumb things. I was talking with a friend about his work and he brought up a co-worker saying the word Cantilever Concrete. I am a little shock about that because I can't imagine someone can use concrete that is cantilevering to form a slab. But later I did a little google research to find that cantilever concrete is real but it not really cantilevering like I imagine it to be. It doesn't even cantilever. It's like a retaining wall. I just want to create some laughs by sharing it with him and other friends. This is a slab of concrete that is cantilevering from the foil moon design by my friend Shinji who is waving the Japanese flag while thinking of a guy that never trust his design.

Happy April Fools
It is that time of the year again but it's a Sunday. It didn't bother me because I am not working and my work place won't allow that shit cause it is a boringly stiff place. I wish it's a Friday when I am still in school...most likely back in WAAC in Alexandria. Those were great time. We got all the prankster together having fun and foiling people...it's wonderful. I don't have anymore to write about it and I'll just post the April Foils pic up.
