going and what
Last couple of days been great...I got great food, great ballgame, a lot of fun at the horse track, and a average movie...It's all fun. I am getting back to some working and studying last couple of days. I did a quick draft of a website for my friend and his band...I am still waiting for his reply so I can get some direction on where I am going and what I need to progress on. I also was going through some online tutorial on photoshop which can be fun and frustrating but it's all a learning experience. I also downloaded one tutorial and pending the other one...I am watching the tutorial and I am learning a lot about the new cs3 and all the finest of the small detail that I took them for granted...It's good to know the simple stuffs at it's finest of detail...I guess I'll take a nice long shower after a work out and I'll get back to the tutorial...

slow and poor
With the help of my favorite site Wikipedia...I got some information about the structure of a story. I just want to see which parts did the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 missed...I think that movie is slow and poor and it doesn't have the basics organs of a story....
  1. Initial situation - the beginning. It is the first incident that makes the story move.
  2. Conflict or Problem - goal which the main character of the story has to achieve.
  3. Complication - obstacles which the main character has to overcome.
  4. Climax - highest point of interest of the story.
  5. Suspense - point of tension. It arouses the interest of the readers.
  6. Dénouement or Resolution - what happens to the character after overcoming all obstacles/failing to achieve the desired result and reaching/not reaching his goal.
  7. Conclusion - the end result of the climax

waitress[friend]
It's a day today. I didn't add the good in front of day because it was a good day until a douche bag ruined it. He didn't trash it but I hate seeing his fucking face because he's arrogantly annoying. I don't want to talk about him anymore...so let's move on to the good stuffs he ruined.

I was at city beach with my bro cause it's our usual friday hang out and we have to wait for his douche bag friend to meet us and watch the pirates of the caribbean tonite. He came 2 hours late so i can't go to the movie to finish off a great nite. Hanging with my bro is good...but being served by a wonderful, beautiful and delightful waitress[friend] was great. She likes us...we like her...I like really like her. So I learn how to fold a shirt from a dollar bill couple days ago and I gave it to her along with out tip. I also drew a great and funny picture of her on the receipt. I do that every week so she loves it and I am happy for her. It moves me and I'm glad. I can't wait til next week to see her again. Cheers...and fuck that douche bag.

pass the speech therapy shit...I am free...anywho...lets get back to the good stuff.

I edited my blog page a little but by taking out my links bookmarks and added del.icio.us links because I want to be able to show you guys what I bookmark with out editing my bookmarks on this blog. Seriously...I don't do it. I rarely update the bookmarks links I posted. If I use this del.icio.us, I can just keep bookmarking all the stuffs and be able to share it with you guys instantly. I think that's just awesome and very open source...I love open source and so should you.

just shit
There isn't much that's new. Giants won last night and I'm happy. That's pretty much is my news. However, I do have an important thing I need to do tomorrow. I got my speech therapy test tomorrow at 10. Once that is over...it's fucking over. I will not see that therapist of disappointment anymore. If she said she want to make more appointment for me...I will now agree or go...and I will request to see her supervisor and complain. I can't stand this weekly bullshit for 4 months. I can see it helped me but it's just the same old shit ever week. I shouldn't go weekly for 4 months to begin with. Plus...my appointment charge will increase from 10 bucks to 50 bucks. It's not worth it. I only see an appointment worth going is when I need it and I will learn something new. Those appointments are just a lameness waste of my time. If she want me to make more appointment for me...I will tell her I will not go and I will ask her what will I be learning cause she didn't teach me anything new or important. I think that is just lame and it's not helping my memory but diminishing it. The reason I am going with it is so I can get my driver's license back and start sending out my resume to get a job. She is delaying me and not allowing me to live my life the way I want to. I think that is just shit.

in tune
I was searching Santiago Calatrava on Wikipedia and I clicked on the architect link to see what Wiki have to say about architects. I get to the section about earnings and here's what I got...

According to the 2006–2007 Occupation Outlook Handbook published by the US Department of Labor, the median salary of architects was $62,960 with the middle 50% earning between $46,690 and $79,230. This was slightly above accountants (median income $50,770), college professors (median income $51,800) and on par with most branches of engineering (median income of roughly $60K).

If you read it...it's looks normal but to me...it's funny because 3 of my closest friends are an accountant, a college professor, and an engineer. I am an architectural designer...so four of us are included in this talk. It's funny and weird that all of us are included...I guess we are normal or we are special or in tune.
think the league
It's a tough game 5 for the Suns. They were leading by double digit at some point but they lost the lead and the game because they are exhausted because 2 of their important players was suspended because they were trying to look out for a teammate because of a violent attack by a Spurs bench player on a 2 time MVP. I think the Spurs are a team of quiet killers and they should be punish harshly on it and the victim should not be punish at all. The league punished the victim more severely then the attacker and I think the league and the referees are fucking each other in a charitable way. I don't understand why they are doing that and I hope the Suns, other teams, and the general public will take action to this incident cause by a horrible, unethical, and unjust player call Robert "Big Snob Rob" Horry. I hated that guy awhile ago. That's it for tonite.

suspended
I can't believe NBA commissioner made a big choice today. He suspended 2 Suns from playing tonight but only 1 Spurs players. This was because Spurs's player Horry knocked over a Suns player intentionally. There's only 16 seconds left in the game and they are behind by a lot. He knocked him over just to hurt him and that's unethical. He was suspended because of it. The 2 Suns players was suspended because they left the bench because of that hit. They felt it was intentional and they worry about the player. However...because of past events...the NBA set up a rule saying a player cannot leave their bench and would face suspension. They said these 2 Suns player will be suspended tonite and I think that's just shit. You are rewarding the team that do shit and punishing the victim. I think that's horrible.

I'm sure
Tonight will be an important night for the Warriors. They already made that playoff and they eliminated the team with the best record in the playoff. I truly believe that they surpass my expectation of them, however, they might be eliminated tonight if they don't pull out a win. I hope they win because I have fate in them and I think they are a great team. The potential of the team speaks more than their season record. Even if they lose tonight, they are a great team and they got a great season this year and I'm sure they will have more to come in the upcoming years.

Alrite...that's a little sports talk and now lets get to the news. Jerry Falwell died today. I am not a big fan of him. I don't like him not because I am not a Christian. I don't have any religion in me. In the past...I was in a christian school, christian summer program...a lot of those stuffs because I can't afford to be in those religion-less programs and schools. So I grew up with religion around me and I feel that I've been pushed around to believe things. They don't really appreciate people thinking and contemplating about issues. To me, I feel that they always looks at the bottom line to see if they are doing well or not. Shouldn't you feel good when you see you are making people feel good. That bothers be that a lot of religion change and mold you then say you are good. I think religion should cherish anyone as an individual and allow them to grow and be happy. Falwell is one of those religious people that forces other people to believe in certain things. If things work according to his plan...everyone would believe what he want them to believe and he would make money. If he thinks walmart is good...he tells that to people...people buy in walmart...he's going to get some money from walmart. I rather he tells the truth about walmart and let people think and act upon their judgment. I think that is more beautiful and elegant.

Now with the news and sports covered...I hope that you are informed. bye

more warming
Other than mother's day, giants won 15-2, heard from a friend that he got a boat...last couple of days have been tough. Firstly, I think my still in recalling numbers aren't as good as how I was several week ago. I think it is due to my lack of practice and plus I am spending those "practice" doing something I care about. The things I love are learning and relearning autocad [that is pretty much done]. going through my practice book to learn something new and interesting about the practice of architecture, I played some great old school games I love, and I also do my watercoloring once in a while because I feel I need more warming up. Watercolor is not a big deal in architecture firms but it's a big deal to me and I will bring that up as a great skill of mine in the future if people need to produce some great rendering. I will make people excited by just look at some heartwarming watercolor. I am now play my guitar once in a while. It's fun and refreshing to play the songs I love. I also am thinking of talking to a bartender I like. I talked to her couple of times but I don't talk to her anymore so I think I need to talk to her again and hopefully I can charm her without using my "I am an architect" line.

however
Watching the Suns vs. Spurs playoff game and the Suns are down by 10 or so points. I am a little disappointed because I like the Suns and I think they are good and fun to watch. I guess they are down because Steve Nash is not having his regular game. He is playing a little subpar but it's still early in the series and I can live with a lost. Plus, I am hoping for a Warriors win more than a Suns win because warriors are local.

Today, however is a fucked up day. I see some fucked up people in town doing fucked up things. It's not cool and nice that these people are doing horrible things to other people. It sucks.

On the lighter side....A friend of mind is now living and working in the Tahoe area and he just brought a boat and I got plans to head up there with my friends to sail, to fish, and even wakeboard up in Tahoe. That's going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait.

I'll keep you guys on tap
It's a much cooler and breezier today. I enjoy it. I don't know what will be my post for today. There isn't much going on. I just freshen up my skills in autocad. I think I am completely fine with autocad. The only thing I don't feel comfortable with is all the practice and standard stuffs. I also have to say that most of the practice and standard stuffs are really depends on the firm so I guess I will pass that part. It'll be fun if I design, sketch, draft, and model out some design. I just have to think of a design project that I want to do. I guess I can enroll for an architecture competition. I'll keep you guys on tap if anything will develop here.

Another thing that is a maybe for me is to build a website for a friend of mine who got a band and a potential record deal with a label. We lost touch for a while because I was in college and he got work. It's good that we got back in contact and he want to look at my architectural and creative work so I sent him my web portfolio. He likes my work and my website and he wanted me to build and design the website for him. I guess my great email lingo about a website that express who you are to impress others. I also talked about my new idea of "essentialism." I told him that I am not being abstract or minimal. I just want to express the essence of something. Essence defines things, essence tells the truth, and essence is beautiful. I have no issue about abstraction or minimalism. I think they are branches of essentialism. As long as they show the essence, they are great.

My sporting world is pretty interesting. Warriors lost game one so they have to play well tonight to keep it interesting. Giants lost even Barry Bonds homered. Suns won. I am happy but I want the Warriors to win because they are more local. A's are doing well but I am not a big follower of the A's.

I guess I covered the news, the weather, and sports. I am Michael and have a great day.

hot day
What a hot day today. I believe in Al Gore and his Inconvenient Truth about global warming. I already believe in global warming and hopefully this heatwave and this hot summer would make some of the nonbeliever believe. I do want to reverse and reduce our pollution and be more green and peaceful as a nation. I think if you be more green and peaceful, our children will be save and enjoying it and they will not stress to try to solve the problem and mess we left behind.

Anyways, I am happy that I get to renew my contact with a good old friend and we get to catch up on things in our life. I might be building a website for his band that might sign to a record label. He want to pay me for that site but I don't charge a friend for a simple design orientated task. Plus, I am not a professional at website building. If a friend want to thank me, just by me a good dinner. I think there is nothing more rewarding then great food and great company.

I am also looking at my Giants and Warriors. I wish them well.

essence
This world is full of fucktards. You can me old fashion or whatever you want because I feel this way. I just got a point and my points has been with me and other great thinker and designers around me. It is about thinking and understanding things to it's fullness. I recently saw an online video about a table that walks. I was highly disturbed by the idea of a table that walks with it's legs. I'm sure a lot of people look at it and laugh at the "walking" table. I just feel that these people are fucktards. As a designer, I think it's our job to make people wonder and ponder about things. I don't wonder or ponder when I see a walking table. I only see a gimmick. It's not there for a purpose. If a thing is not there for a purpose, it loses the word table in their name. So that thing is just a lame useless thing that walks to make some people laugh. If you call it a table, I feel that you are a fucktards. I have no issue on a designer that design things that walk but don't make something that loose their essence as a table and call it a table.

angular

I guess this is a progression of architecturally related post I have today. I must be on a roll cause I posted my last one about dotted lines couple of hours ago. This post is about a thing I was goofing off and playing with. I am always curious about the golden rectangle and the idea of understanding the proportion of things. I was also playing with autocad and I just quickly drafted it together and just playing with the initial idea of it and then I started doing dimensions and angles and it's pretty interesting to see the progression of the angles. It's pretty straight forward in terms of style and usage. I guess we love the angular relationship because we see and fall in love with things with correct proportion and angular relationship.
dotted lines - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I am hoping to write a short blog today because I got this idea in my head. It's one of those things where I finally know why I am doing it. I am going to talk about dotted lines. I love it and I'm sure I will fail my wish to write a short blog. So if you're reading this and it looks long, I guess I failed.

I love dotted lines because it have so much meaning in architectural drawings. It kind of lost its meaning with the CAD drafting culture. Dotted lines always mean something behind or something in front of the thing you are drawing. It gives a 3D drawing a 3rd dimension and that is a lot of respect. Now, with the 3D rendering and designing coming in to the industry...I do worry about how dotted lines will be like in the future. I am sure and I will make sure that dotted lines will stay the same and will not change because it is so meaningful and beautiful. I think things that are meaningful are beautiful. For something so simple like a dotted line to mean so much...that's wonderful. That's why I composed my blog and website with dotted lines. I now know why and I will strive to keep that as my goal. I guess I have to thank Marco for this new approach to architecture.

my love for you
Listening to that No Distance Left to Run tune. I love that song. I want to express my feelings for that girl I desperately love. I don't want our current relationship to make me feel like writing this song. This song made me remember about how my past "loves" were. In the future, I want to remember you but not the feelings I would get right now while listening to this song. In the future, I would want to remember the good times we had in the past and how great it is to have you by my side listening to this great song hand in hand and lips to lips. You made my heart beats a little faster just thinking about your face, your smile, your talk, and my love for you. I love you.
